My name is Bryan Johnson, born in 1980. My artistic genesis was undoubtedly the countless coloring books, drawing contests, and art classes my mom involved me in when growing up. She put the pencil in my hand that allowed me to develop the eye I needed to work in the arts. I received an art degree from Adams State College in 2003 with an emphasis in drawing, painting, and photography. One professor there in particular, Eugene Schilling, really helped me sharpen and evolve my style.

I’ve had a fascination with tattooing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I always thought my gramps’ “burn mark” (his tattoo) was way tubular. I started creating tattoo designs for friends in high school and college. I also did many commissioned designs through Evolve Graphic Studios. Now, I’m the In-House Flash Artist and Graphic Designer for TattooFinder.com - an incredible opportunity (yes, I’d call it a “dream job”). I prepare the artwork by all the very talented artists for sale through the sites, and this gives me the unique opportunity to become artistically intimate with countless styles. I have definitely seen how this type of work has helped my own artistic evolution.
Painting has been and still is the foundation of my artistic passion. Picasso once said that “All children are artists. The problem is finding how to remain an artist once he grows up.” On that note, I will once again thank my mom and all the cool cats at TattooFinder.com for helping me grow up as an artist. You Rock!
