Ben There was born and raised in Colorado. He eventually wound up at the Memphis College of Art where he graduated with a BFA in 1993. He began tattooing in 1992 as a self-taught artist. After owning a shop in Aspen for a few years, he closed down and started a world-traveling journey of doing guest spots. He obtained a permanent guest spot at Slave to the Needle in Seattle where you can find him when he's back from his travels.

Ben is savvy with all types of imagery, but really enjoys big stuff including bold colors, animals and birds, and Asian style pieces. He's also a fan of doing cover-up tattoos because he gets to be extra creative by coming up with something new and improved and making the old work disappear.
