To start out, I hate talking about myself so I am going to make this short. I have been interested in art as long as I can remember and have been drawing for the same amount of time. I attended college in Minneapolis MN, to study Fine Arts and Computer animation. After looking for employment in the animation field and having no luck I decided to move back to my hometown in Illinois.

I had no Idea what I was going to do for work. Some of my friends had always mentioned that I should try tattooing but I never had an interest in it. Then I met a guy that was tattooing at a local shop named Poopy’s. I started hanging out and drawing and watching him tattoo. It seemed like a challenge to me. So I mentioned the idea of him apprenticing me.

I am so glad I found this art form. I never thought I would be a tattoo artist but I LOVE it. Especially after seeing what you can do with tattooing. It seems there are no limits. Artist like Guy Aitchison, Clean Rock One and Jime Litwalk whose colors are amazing. Seeing their work makes me strive to be the best tattoo artist that I can.

So to make a long story short, I started tattooing in 2001 at a parlor in Savanna IL, named Poopy’s, and I plan on continuing to do it for many, many years to come.
