Friday Jones started her apprenticeship at the prestigious Inksmith & Rogers studios in Florida in the early 1990's while simultaneously completing a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and Art at Jacksonville University. Her unique style and ability to develop intricate designs gleaned from her clients' imaginations have enabled her to perform her craft on some of the world's most iconic artists, including Angelina Jolie, Janeane Garofalo, Aaron Neville and Robbie Williams. She has toured the UK with the Queens of the Stone Age, set up shop at Phillip Anselmo's Louisiana compound and adroitly served up secret favors for Penelope Cruz.
Friday has won many awards for her tattooing and fine art, and her work has been shown in art galleries across the U.S. Her tattoos and articles have appeared in Spin Magazine, The NY Post, GQ, The LA Weekly, Tattoo Magazine, Skin and Ink, and Tattoo Savage, as well as the cover of Williams' "Escapology."
In 2008 she judged "Tattoo of the Day" with Corey Miller for Kat Von D's Musink convention and in 2007 she was a judge with Lyle Tuttle for the Miss TattooUSA contest in Nashville. Friday has been a member of the National Tattoo Association since 1994, and is currently splitting her time between Xac Anthony Salon in New York and her home in dear Old New Orleans.
