Mark Strange was born in central Indiana in 1969, the land of corn and soy beans. His father was an engineer, and his mother was a cabinet maker who also painted with oils and acrylics. He was artistically inclined from a very young age. Drawing from the time he could hold a pencil, he moved on to painting with whatever he could get his hands on (mom's oils and acrylics). As his age progressed so did his artistic experimentation. By age 10 or 11 he had moved on to clay sculpture and metal fabrication. During this period he was also around the tattoo industry on an almost daily basis through a close family friend. Though the thought of actually tattooing had never crossed his mind, in 1986, after years of observation and helping out at the studio, he started to experiment with the idea. By 1991 he took it on full time. Although he says, "It just kind of happened", some may say he was groomed for the position. By 1996 he was attending several tattoo conventions a year and producing commercial flash.
He now lives in Florida, tattooing at Cherry Hill Tattoo Co. of Naples, in Naples, Florida. He works an average of 70 hours a week, but spends most of his down time immersed in some sort of art project such as handcrafting tattoo machines. It is true what they say... "This profession will consume you!"
Mark can be reached at www.myspace.com/vagabond407. His soon to be completed website will feature his non-tattoo related artwork: www.markstrangeart.com.

"I totally feel valued by the company for many reasons, one being that they ask me to participate in outside ventures. Working with TattooFinder.com has been a great opportunity from the beginning, and I see it continuing to get better in the future as it already has over the past years!”
