Hi! My name is Mélanie and I was born on November 10th, 1974, in Gatineau, Québec, Canada. I've been drawing ever since I can remember. As a kid, I use to draw on my friends arms because I thought it was 'cool'!

I got my first tattoo when I was 17 years old and never stopped. A year later, I tried to get an apprenticeship in every tattoo shop in town without much luck. I then graduated from college in fashion design. I did not pursue a career in that field since only a small part of the job is focussed on the actual drawing and that has always been what I wanted to do. After school, I stopped drawing for about 6 years and tried to find something I would enjoy doing . . . fat chance.

About a year and a half ago, I got a job in a quiet call centre and I had enough time to surf the net and to draw! So I started drawing again, making designs for friends. At the same time I discovered Flash2xs.com and decided that I could start doing flash sheets and go from there . . . and here I am!

I still haven't got an apprenticeship but I'm hoping that this exposure will give me the help I need . . . to finally do something I love and also get a job where I don't have to cover up my tattoos!!!

Some of my influences include HR Giger, Salvador Dali and all of the artists on this web site for their amazing work!
