Rembrandt was born February 3rd, 1964. He has resided in the state of Texas for the past eight years, but has lived and learned all across the U.S. He was drawing before he could walk or talk and will still draw on anything that is standing still or moving if he can catch it. He was always in trouble in school for sketching instead of listening yet still managed to graduate from Catalina High School in Arizona. His college career consisted of general studies including an art class in which he ended up teaching the course with the teacher.

Before he ever began work as a tattoo artist he was selling his flash to shops all over. His flash has been bought worldwide. He then began to work in various shops, bouncing back and forth between California and Arizona. He learned the fine art of putting needle to flesh until he opened his first shop, 'REMBRANDT'S ELEKTRIK INK' in Tucson, Arizona. He then moved to Texas to be closer to family and worked for several noted shops in the Houston and Galveston areas before finally opening 'REMBRANDT'S' in the Woodlands. After a long tedious divorce he closed his doors.

Rembrandt is a self taught artist inspired in the tattoo world by Paul Booth, David Bollt, Aaron Cain, and of course Edward Lee. Other artist's include H.R. Giger, Frank Frazetta, Sorayama, and Boris Vallejo. Rembrandt fought a battle with throat cancer, and won, and his art brings him the greatest solace in his life. It has always brought him through the darkest storms.
He was won many awards at conventions all over the United States. He has had the opportunity to have his work exhibited in several magazines for example Tattoo Flash, Savage, Skin and Ink, and Eros to name a few. He has also done illustrations for poetry magazines. His work has been shown in galleries and he has worked for mural Companies doing some of their work residentially and commercially. He just loves to DRAW. Rembrandt always takes time for everyone and if you mention art of any kind he's ready to begin (although tattoos and flash are his biggest passions).
