We'll bet you didn't know that the whole lower back tattoo craze has been around for thousands of years. In fact, it's been proven by scientists! Remember the iceman found in the alps in the early 90's? His mummy is decorated with the oldest tattoos known to man. No fancy inks or dyes for him, though. He used plain old fire pit soot.
